New Baby

James Berdett Christensen joined our family on March 18th. He weighed 7.9 oz and was 20.5 inches long. His entrance into this world was a calm and quick, (well at least quick for me). Brian was an awesome support and was very involved. He was defiantly more interested in what was happening medically this time around.
Hayden has been so excited to meet his little brother and finally got to come meet James. As you can see below he is very excited.
We were so grateful for the help we have received this last few weeks. My Mom, Jenn, and Thomas came up the day before we had James and entertained Hayden while we were at the hospital. Then my Mom got to stay for over a week! I was so excited to have her here I have miss having her close. Then we had a week alone and Brian's mom came to visit and Has been with us for a week. She was been an awesome help.
We are in love with this baby and are so excited to have him as a part of our family, and we are so excited for the rest of our family to meet him.

Summer Travels

Our summer has been full of travels. First Hayden and I traveled down to Silverton, OR to visit my sister Jennifer and her family. We went up to silver falls and hiked to the falls. This is me and the kids on the way up. Sorry no Ren or Jenn they were in the front.

Then Jennifer and I took the little kids to the zoo. Chandler and Evan were on a school trip. Thomas and Hayden kept asking the entire time to see the penguins. We had such a fun time.

Just 4 days after we had been home we left for California to see my other sister.  We ran into our friends in the airport headed to the same place. It was just Hayden and I again, we were sad that Brian wasn't able to come with us. Down there we went to the beach and then of course had to hang out by the pool.

Since Gaby and Garrett were still in school we found a little zoo to take Hayden and Bentley too. It was just a little one that was very educational.

Hayden has been wanting to ride a Ferris wheel since last year when he was too small for the one at the state fair. His wonderful Aunt Annie knew of one that she was pretty sure he could ride. He was so excited waiting in line, and it was very high on the top that Annie got a little sick.

Then after another 4 days we all headed, Brian included, to Idaho. We spent a week in Fruitland, we were able to spend time with Brian's Grandpa and other family members in Weiser. We also had a fun day at the pond with family and friends.
We then made our way to Rigby to see my Mom. During that time we were able to see Rachel and Travis, and we also took their kids to the spray park in Rexburg while they were at a wedding. While there we got to take time and play with my other baby CJ. Hayden loves her and wasn't scared at all and wanted to ride all by himself.

After our time in Idaho we headed to Oregon. We started at my sister Jennifer's house again and went to the Oregon Gardens they are so beautiful and a lot bigger than I thought. We spent a few days with them and then traveled south just over an hour to see Brian's sister Charlotte and her family. We were able to spend Independence day with them. The Kids loved the parade, they also have a little carnival of sorts lots of booths like when we go to Menan. We then all went back to the house and we all got naps! We had a BBQ with some of their friends and then went to the fireworks.

At the end of the week on our way home we stopped by Jennifer's and picked up Thomas and Elise so they could come to our house for a week. This is them at the Minion movies they all did chores to get to go.

We had a crazy long summer so far and are happy being home. I am not great at taking pictures I need to get better. I will keep trying. I hope all your summers will be fun.

Fun Project

My sister in law made the trip up to see us to help me redo a couch my grandmother had given me. It turned out great. I am so happy with it.

Hayden's 4th Birthday

Hayden did great at his Dr.'s appointment this year. He is 36 lbs and  41 inches tall this puts him in the 50% for weight and just about the 50% for height. He just keeps getting smarter everyday. He know all his letters and their sounds, and can count to 30 he says he can count to 100 though. He can if I help him with to 40,50 ect. He knows his shapes and colors. The Doctor hardly could get in a word because Hayden was so chatty. He also does not like getting "pokies" as he calls them, but he did great. He loves reading, riding his bike, playing with his friends, and of course playing the Ipad.

We decided this year to celebrate Hayden's birthday on super bowl Sunday. We were watching some friend's kids for the week and Brian had to study during the week. He has been very into Mario this week, and I usually try to make his cake but I was feeling lazy this week. So here are some pictures from the day.

Olivia their Daughter was so cute she ran up stairs and put together a present for Hayden with a few cars in it.

Can't believe my baby is 4!
